Turning off for Frontpage 5 Months, 1 Week ago
Hello,

Your plugin works great! Thank you so much.

Just like Joomla! article parameters and frontpage parameters have the option to Hide/Show authors, can we have that for this plugin?

I basically want to hide the author info in the frontpage display.

Let it display in all articles, including the frontpage ones, but just not on the frontpage display. Something that shows up when the reader clicks and is on the article page.

Is this possible. Help will me much appreciated.

Regards,

Faraz

So if the article is set to display on the front page, you don't want to see the author info ONLY on the front page, but see it on sub pages or when they click read more?

It wouldn't be terribly hard to set up the system to NOT display for any article which is set to display on the front page, but more difficult to display info on front page articles when not on the front page.

I was trying to figure this one out, too.

I like the plug in (thanks), but I don't want the author name to appear on the front page of my site.

I want the name to show on the article page once someone has clicked through from the front page headline, but I would like to keep the front page clear of the byline.

In Joomla I can switch this off, and have, but is there any way I can stop the author strap line appearing on the front?

Here is my site.

Excellent, that will be good, thanks.

I have disabled it for now because I noticed that, although it was displaying properly in Firefox, when I looked in Google Chrome and in IE7 there appeared to be a broken image just to the left of the front page author link. When I clicked on the broken image it lead to a 404. However, that image doesn't show in Firefox.

I would like to reactivate, so is there a way I can fix the broken image showing in Chrome and IE? I presume it is related to the setting about whether to show an avatar, which I have set to off.

Figured it out. Even if you disable the avatar, it still shows a broken image in IE7 and Chrome. So just delete the number in the 'avatar width in pixels' and save and it is fine.
